Our instructors have a great deal of experience training young men interested in improving their baseball skills. Our instructors are committed to providing an instructive and fun environment for each student. We want to see each student improve in every skill and we will encourage and provide athletes with a safe facility so they can work to improve their performance.

To schedule lessons please call: 615-399-BATS (2287). Hit After Hit has 7 indoor year-round batting cages for personal instruction and range in speed from 30 to 90 mph. 4 are equipped with Iron Mike machines.

Mickey Hiter
Orlando Thomas

Former Lipscomb University player, Mickey has over 20 years of coaching experience and is currently the manager of the Twitty City Hallmark 19 and over, Team 2001 Stan Musial State Champs. Mickey led his 17-year-old Twitty City Hallmark team to NABF World Series title in 1998. Former players have gone on to college and minor league baseball.

Orlando is a former minor league player and coach with the St. Louis Cardinals. He has been teaching lessons at Hit After Hit since 1993. Several of his students have gone on to play college baseball. Orlando coached his 16-year-old team to the CABA World Series in 1999 and took his 17-year-old team to the same tournament in 2000. His 18-year-old team was the CABA World Series runner up in 2001.

Lem Pilkinton

Tim's main focus has been teaching the sound fundamentals of baseball, disciplined work ethics and respect for one's self and other players. Tim graduated from Lipscomb University in 1982 where he played under coach Ken Dugan. Married 26 years to Kathi, they have 2 children - Kristen an RN at Vanderbilt University and Steven played at Vanderbilt University and is now in the Twin's organization.

Lem was drafted in 1984 by the Baltimore Orioles as a catcher and first baseman. In 1986, the Boston Red Sox drafted Lem out of Columbia State Community College. He played in the Red Sox, Blue Jays and Mariners organizations and was a 2-time minor league all-star. Lem also coached with the Mariners organization for 2 years. He started giving lessons in 1986 and opened Hit After Hit in November of 1993.



Hit after Hit offers private lessons for students of all age and ability levels. All of our lessons are taught on a one on one basis by our knowledgeable and experienced instructors. All lessons are 30 minutes long and students may come on a regularly scheduled basis. Students are taught the mechanics of hitting, pitching or catching. Parents are encouraged to watch and listen. We ask that all questions and comments be held until the end of the lesson, at which time the instructor will be happy to answer all questions.

Hit After Hit Lesson Packages:
Students taking 30 lessons will be give 33 appointments to complete their
package. A 20 lesson student will be given 22 appointments to complete the package. 12 lesson students must complete their package in 13 appointments. A student with an 8 lesson package must complete their package in 8 appointments. There are no exceptions. We offer a one time only trial lesson. All Fees must be paid in advance of the first Lesson.
